First Day

Today I found out about Spiral Island. I was using StumbleUpon, an awesome internet "channel-surfing" plug-in for Firefox, and I came across the Ripley's Believe It or Not episode with Spiral Island. I spend way too much of my time looking for places to escape to, and a self-sustaining island on the ocean is pretty much the best idea I have ever heard of. I am engaged, so I ran this by my fiance. November Progress Report !!!

Rishi has made good progress in the first 2 months. Here is Rishi with the Island under construction:

The Island is about 13 meters (40 feet) long so far, with plants already growing. As you can see, it is on a spectacular beach.

He has built a nice beach camp, with a treehouse, tents, grill, water tanks, shower, and composting outhouse/toil…

Several folks on Indigo Society website are dreaming of a place where Indigo folks can gather and live -- a commune, if you would. The most likely scenario is a farm somewhere BUT that calls for a gathering of "strange" people within a social structure (government) that is already based on control - and must inevitably fail. Off to a good September start...
